Background of Knowledge Based Service
Knowledge Based Service is one of the ASEAN Strategic Plan
of Customs Development (SPCD) for 2016-2020, SPCD14 : Knowledge Based Service aims
to enhance staff competencies needed to support timely customer-focused
processes and services that minimize the administrative burden on legitimate
trade through :
Establish a communication channel to
disseminate Customs knowledge and learning materials among the ASEAN Customs
administrations;
Identify the required areas of
Customs knowledge and develop as the learning programme;
Distribute Customs knowledge and
learning to the ASEAN Customs administrations.
Thailand as the country coordinator of SPCD 14 had
developed and established Knowledge Based Service website hosted under ASEAN
website. Since 24th meeting, the KBS has been lived. The public is able to
access directly through the domain name http://kbscustoms.asean.org
or they can access through ASEAN website www.asean.org
by the link Customs Capacity Building Working Group (CCBWG) or you can put the
key word like CCBWG or KBS Customs on any search engine, our KBS website
will pop up automatically.
